Atascadero Waste Alternative Station

Description of Project:

Atascadero Waste Alternative Station is a fully operational waste hauling station. Pride assisted the site with the installation of stormwater upgrades. Work consisted of mass grading and excavation of a stormwater basin, installation of stormdrain piping and catch basins, water line repairs, concrete curbing, concrete spillway and install of rumble plates at the front entrance of site.

Scope of Work Performed:

• Clear and grub grading limits
• Mass excavation and grading of a new stormwater retention basin at the existing storage bin staging area
• Constructed perimeter compacted earthen berm, to prevent stormwater runoff
• Install of concrete precast drop inlets
• Install of 8-inch and 12-inch stormwater corrugated metal pipe (CMP)
• Install geotextile and riprap material at outlet and various berm locations around site to prevent erosion
• Abandonment and re-installation of operations water line along backside of property
• Rumble plate install

Project Successes:

• Project was completed a week earlier than the original baseline schedule and under budget
