Compton Hauling Station

Description of Project:

Compton Hauling Station is a fully operational waste hauling station. Pride assisted the site with installation of Phase I stormwater upgrades. Phase I consisted of pothole investigation, install of a trench drain at the front entrance gate to prevent runoff, installation of stormwater basins, stormdrain piping, concrete drive approaches, construction of concrete outlet boxes with filters and catch basin inlet filter upgrades.

Scope of Work Performed:

  • Pothole investigation to confirm design criteria and verification of underground utilities
  • Excavation and grading of two (2) stormwater basins with install of aggregate protected slope and overflow concrete structure
  • Install of ACO S300K trench drain system at main entrance gate
  • 300-LF of below grade 10-inch PVC stormdrain piping with clean-out system
  • Abandonment of existing stormwater sampling ports
  • Install of Filtrexx Soxx at various location around the site
  • Repaved asphalt areas removed during construction

Project Successes:

  • Maintained project schedule while working around onsite operations. Pride’s work was performed during normal work hours at three (3) of the active gates. Pride completed work while having minimal impact to operations.
  • Field crews were able to provide client with actual field elevations to redesign stormdrain piping
  • Project was completed ahead of schedule and on budget
